Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche
Khenchen is the primary teacher or lama for sangha members at Palyul Changchub Choling. He is well known and highly respected for his mastery of many profound Buddhist texts and travels the world to give teachings and empowerments. Above and beyond his erudition, we love him for his never-failing patience, compassion, and sense of humor. He was born in Tibet, but educated in India after fleeing his native country as a result of the Chinese invasion. In addition to teaching at the many centers he has established around the world, he is one of the primary professors at the shedra, or college, attached to Namdroling Monastery and interprets for His Holiness during retreats and at important functions.
